Group Classes
Dog training classes are taught by Certified Trainer Allison Lamminen CTC, CSAT and are held at Dakota Pet Hospital in Lakeville, MN.

Puppy Kindergarten (beginner level class)
Introduction to obedience skills such as sit, down, wait, stay and leave it.
Body handling exercises build confidence and teach your dog to be comfortable in their own fur!
Off-leash play sessions are worked into the curriculum to promote healthy play and to provide socialization with other puppies as well as people!
Puppies must be between 8-16 weeks at the start of class

Life Skills 101 (beginner level class)
It is never too late to enroll your dog in class! In this class, we will teach basic behaviors such as sit, down, stay, leave it and more.
No matter where your dog is at, we can help you and your dog learn behaviors that will set him up for success and will provide you with some relief from those "naughty" behaviors your dog may be practicing.
*Dogs 17 weeks of age and older are welcome to join class. They must have a good history with dogs and people. If you are unsure if your dog would thrive in a class setting, contact us before registering.

Life Skills 201
In this intermediate level class, your dog will learn to go to a spot and stay until released, greet people politely, drop held items, and keep their focus on you when distractions are present. This class is only for dogs who have taken either Puppy Kindergarten or Life Skills 101 with Delighted Dogs.
Tricks (beginner level class)
Do you often have company over? Would you love to be able to entertain by showing off what your dog can do? Sign up for this six-week class!

Reactive Rover (semi-private)
Does your dog go crazy when they see another dog? Do you avoid taking your dog on walks because they are too difficult to manage when another dog is in sight? If you answered yes, this class is for you!
In this 5-week class, we will introduce other behaviors for your dog to perform during those stressful times when another dog dared to come into sight. We will also focus on building your dog's comfort level when they see a dog. There will only be two dogs in class, including your own.
This class is for dog-reactive dogs only. If your dog is reactive toward people, the private training route is best for you.

Polite Greetings
If your dog is a social, jumpy greeter, this class is for you! We will work through a variety of exercises to teach your dog how to greet people without body slams or gut punches.

Reliable Recall
Teaching a dog to come when called can be daunting but well worth it. This class will focus on building a reliable recall regardless of distractions or distance.

Mat Training
There are a lot of things your dog cannot do while they are staying in a designated spot. This class will focus on teaching your dog to go to a mat, lie down, and stay there while there are distractions around.

Loose Leash Walking
Walking at the pace of a human while on a leash is not natural for dogs. They have too much to do to slow down for you! This class will focus on teaching your dog to walk without pulling on the leash so that walks and outings are enjoyable for everyone.
